AWCC MEMBERSHIP

Eligibility

Membership in the corporation is limited to individuals who own residential property at Apache Wells and, in addition, own a certificate.

  1. Apache Wells Country Club's residential area consists of 1412 lots in addition, Track K which is boarded by 56th Street, Lindstrom Lane and Stockton Place.

  2. Persons less than 55 years of age are not eligible to become golfing members unless they are a domestic partner of an Apache Wells resident who is at least 55 years of age.

There are 485 certificates

  1. Only one certificate may be registered for each residential property.

  2. A certificate allows members the right to one vote in the corporation

  3. Only one of the owners of a certificate may serve in an elected office

  4. Members may register only one certificate regardless of the number of residential units owned.

  5. The members, at a regular or special meeting, may approve the issuance of additional certificates.

Certificate Fees

  1. A fee of $100 is charged for certificate registration with the corporation

  2. A fee of $2,000 is charged for initiation into the corporation

  3. A certificate maybe transferred from a member to a spouse or to a child of that member without payment of an initiation fee.

  4. A Certificate may not be registered until all delinquent assessments, annual dues, and debts have been paid.

Dues, Assessments, and Indebtedness

  1. Dues consist of annual dues, charged to the owners of each certificate, and golfing dues charged to each golfing member, only one charge for annual dues per certificate.

  2. Annual dues are due and payable on the first day of the fiscal year

  3. Golfing dues must be paid before golfing members' playing privileges commence.

Assessments

  1. Members may, by ballot vote at an annual or special meeting, approve an assessment that is proposed by the board.

  2. The board determines the due date of assessments

  3. Assessments that are not paid in full within 30 full days of the due date incur a penalty of 1% per month on the outstanding balance.

Indebtedness

  1. Members' debts to the corporation, including dues and assessments, that are not paid by the 10th day of the month following the date of encumbrance of the debt is delinquent.

  2. Member's privileges will be suspended 10 full days after notification from the corporation of a delinquent debt.

  3. Member's privileges may be reinstated if a debt is discharged within 30 full days of the date of suspension.
