Apache Wells Country Club
Local
Rules
Local rules on a golf course are rules that are unique to that particular course. Many times there are certain conditions on a course that warrant clarification while playing the course.

At Apache Wells Country Club, we have a number of Local Rules that can actually assist the player.

  • All Desert Landscaping is considered "Ground Under Repair." This means a free drop.*
  • Staked Trees Free relief (free drop no closer to the hole) is allowable around all Staked Trees.
  • Utility Boxes (i.e., Cable, Telephone & Electrical): Free relief is allowable from all Utility Boxes. A ball against a wall on a property line of the Course and a residence...well, basically, you're on your own.
  • 5-Somes are allowed, but please keep up with the Group ahead of you or allow faster groups to play through. 6-Somes are NOT allowed.

Ready Golf

What is Ready Golf? Basically, it just means being ready to play your ball when it is your turn. It's not rushing; it's not driving the cart as fast as you can push it. But in other words, instead of sitting in the cart while a player (or two) is hitting, just be ready to hit with your choice of club when the other player(s) are finished. So take your time when thinking over your shot, and be on the alert for everything else.

*NOTE: Hole #7 and Hole #15 will have two Drop Circles to hit from when a ball lands in the Desert Landscaping. Please choose the circle closest to where the ball lies with no penalty and no closer to the Green.
